Amazon Frontiers: Global Brazil Conference

The conference will focus on significant new socio-economic, political, cultural, and scientific developments taking place in the Amazon region. Speakers will include Amazonian indigenous leaders and filmmakers, an academic consultant for the Lost City of Z, and Brazilian and US experts from the natural sciences, social sciences, environmental studies, and public health who specialize in the Amazon region.

1. Health Care Access and Regional Disparities in Brazil: The Case of the Amazon and the North, featuring Brazilian public health researcher Luiz Augusto Facchini.
2. Sustainable Development and Conservation in the Amazon Region, featuring Victor Salviati of the Sustainable Amazonas Foundation.
3. Film and Discussion with Mari Corrêa of the Catitu Institute.
