Professor Joseph Vogl delivered a lecture on his recent work on the interdependence of financial institutions and state sovereignty in European history. Vogl is Professor of Literature and Cultural Theory at Humboldt University Berlin and author of The Ascendancy of Finance, now available in English. Giovanni Zanalda, Director of DUCIGS, served as respondent.
