This presentation will examine consider food insecurity and how it is different from hunger, the effects of food insecurity on academics, and overall quality of life, and what can be done to address food insecurity. This panel presentation will discuss the definition of food insecurity, what we know and do not know about food insecurity, and the economics and health issues of food insecurity.
This event is presented by the John Hope Franklin Center and the Duke University Center for International and Global Studies. A light lunch will be served. Parking is available in nearby Trent Rd. and Erwin Rd. parking decks. The series provides 1-hour parking vouchers to guests.
