Jason Dittmer (Professor of Political Geography, University College London) has been a pioneer of a new field of research that challenges traditional ideas/concepts of Diplomacy and foreign policy.  Drawing on extensive archival and applied research, Professor Dittmer will provide an overview of his work on British foreign policy, UK/US intelligence cooperation, NATO, and the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy, which will appear in his forthcoming book Diplomatic Material: Affect, Assemblage, and Foreign Policy (Duke University Press).
