CALL FOR POSTERS
First Annual Conference on International Development
The Duke Center for International Development (DCID) and the Duke University Center for International and Global Studies (DUCIGS) are organizing the first Annual Duke Conference on International Development on November 15-16, 2018 as part of Duke at Home in the World. This conference will bring together the Duke University community with leaders, researchers, and other interested in international development. It will serve as a platform for engaging policymakers, showcasing exceptional work being done by our faculty and students, generating new ideas and fostering productive partnerships.
The conference will feature a poster session to showcase exceptional work of our Duke undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students related to research and engagement in international development. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to finance, aid, multilateralism, energy, water, environment, and, in general, sustainable development. Posters are encouraged to include research and data from qualitative and quantitative research approaches.
Student authors are required to submit a 500-word poster proposal (PDF only) by October 15, 2018 (deadline extended). Poster proposal should include: problem, solution, methodology, and impact (i.e. why it matters to that region/the world). Entries are limited to one poster per student. Authors will be notified of their selection as soon as possible. Selected authors will be required to follow specific instructions for the final poster presentation. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Drilona Emrullahu at email@example.com.
