Mudit Kumar Singh, Visiting Research Fellow at Duke Network Analysis Centre, Social Science Research Institute, and James Moody, Robert O. Keohane Professor of Sociology at Duke University and the founding director of the Duke Network Analysis Center, recently published their paper Can Social Capital and Network Homophily Facilitate Community Participation? on the Social Science Research Network. Their paper triangulates the theory of social capital, social networks, and community participation to study the role of networks in the context of local governance in rural society.
