Fulbright Canada_Information Session with Paulo Carvalho at Duke University

On May 3rd, 2022, we organized a virtual information session on the Fulbright opportunities available in Canada for faculty (current and retired), postdocs and independent researchers. Paulo Carvalho, Fulbright Canada's Program Officer for Recruitment and Outreach, led the information session.

In the presentation, Carvalho explained the opportunities available in Canada for U.S. Scholars and provided valuable tips on how to submit a competitive application.

With over 50 opportunities, Canada is the country that hosts the most Fulbright awards.

As a Program Officer for Outreach at the Foundation for Educational Exchange between Canada and the United States of America, Paulo is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of the Foundation’s recruitment strategy for both the student and scholar awards and is the primary point of contact for grantees, alumni, and partners on matters relating to recruitment.

This event was organized by the Duke University Center for International and Global Studies and co-sponsored by the Duke Office of Global Affairs and Fulbright Canada.
