On April 16, 2021, the Meridian Diplomacy Forum welcomed "550 diplomats, global affairs practitioners and next generation international relations professionals." Duke Global Health Innovation Center Director Krishna Udayakumar spoke about global health diplomacy while DUCIGS/RDP Director Giovanni Zanalda and Fellows Ambassador William Pearson and Benjamin Schmitt joined the DiplomacyRISE Strategy Session on Developing Contemporary Critical Issue Area Expertise.

Professor Peter Jones, of University of Ottawa explains how Track Two Diplomacy has a way forward in solving conflicts. He joined Ambassador (ret.) W. Robert Pearson and DUCIGS director, Giovanni Zanalda at the DUCIGS/Rethinking Diplomacy event: "What Future for Track Two Diplomacy?", part of the Multi-Stakeholder Framework series.
