Funding for Conferences and Workshops

Off-Cycle Funding Opportunities for Duke Faculty and Students

Faculty, graduate and undergraduate students at Duke University can apply to receive support for attendance at conferences and workshops with a global theme, as well as other activities related to international and global topics, outside of our Annual Award Competitions*. The Duke University Center for International & Global Studies (DUCIGS) accepts Off-Cycle applications on a rolling basis, for a maximum of $750 in financial support. We strongly encourage applicants to seek additional funding sources in order to ensure sufficient funding to carry out your request.

ADDITIONAL Funding Sources: Competitions include those sponsored by the Undergraduate Research Support Office (URS) (which also has on its website a large directory of undergrad funding sources); Asian/Pacific Studies Institute (APSI)Latin American & Caribbean Studies (CLACS), the Office of University Scholars and Fellows (OUSF), and the Program in Gender, Sexuality & Feminist Studies (GSFS), among many others.

To apply, please email your request for an application to Nancy Hare Robbins.
