Seeking to foster leadership sensibilities beyond the U.S. political scene, the Duke Center for International & Global Studies (DUCIGS), POLIS: Duke’s Center for Political Leadership, Innovation, and Service and the International House (IHouse) jointly developed a program that highlighted and celebrated the wisdom of students with unique international political perspectives. The series originated in 2017 and has featured four discussions on overseas politics viz Argentinian, Egyptian, Brazilian and Indian politics. The student discussion is moderated by Dr. Giovanni Zanalda, Director of Duke's Center for International and Global Studies.
