The Duke University Middle East Studies Center (DUMESC) is a hub for research, education and outreach surrounding Middle Eastern languages, cultures and societies.

DUMESC offers programs and events about the Middle East to students, teachers, professionals and community members, including annual events to raise awareness about the global refugee crisis.

It also offers a graduate certificate in Middle East Studies in conjunction with the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
